- What you've got
- ---------------
-
- This Type-1 PostScript font began its life as a Macintosh font
- (very well) developed by Hank Gillette. I thought it would make a
- perfect demo for my software product--Type-1 Tools--which
- converts Macintosh Type-1 Fonts into IBM Type-1 fonts.
-
- The conversion took seconds, and, combined with the .AFM file
- later uploaded by Hank Gillette with the Type-3 version of this
- font, I have now created a Type-1 IBM font ready for use with
- Ventura Publisher and any other program which can use .AFM or
- .VFM files.

- PLAYBI.VFM -- Ventura Publisher's version of the font metrics file.

- About this version of PlayBill
- ------------------------------
-
- I have included two Type-1 versions of PlayBill. One is a
- binary version and the other is an ASCII version. Use the binary
- (.PFB) file when your software supports it. Both versions work
- great on my PostScript printer, but it is unlikely that either
- version will work on a PostScript "compatible" interpreter.
-
- Ventura users: I have used the Font ID# 6203 in the .VFM file.
- If you don't have any conflicts with this, the
- .WID is ready to merge. If you do, then you'll
- need to put a new ID in the .VFM file and run
- VFMTOWID again.

- Support
- -------
-
- I didn't design this font, I've made no changes to the design, and I
- don't deserve any credit or compensation. But if you use this font,
- please make sure you do so within the limitations specified by the
- designer Hank Gillette, which are contained in the PLAYREAD.ME file.
-
- However, what I've done here, you can do for yourself by spending
- $10+PPH for Type-1 Tools. Full details are in the file TYP1TOOL.TXT.
